How to Make Our “Centre Court” Wimbledon Rum Cocktail

That’s right, today marks the opening of the world-famous tennis tournament, with millions of fans around the world tuning in to watch the best of best battle it out for eternal sporting glory.
Alongside the usual oohs and aahs, this year’s tournament also marks 100-years of action on Wimbledon’s iconic Centre Court. Having hosted more famous tennis matches than we’ve had hot dinners, we could think of no better way to pay tribute to this cathedral of sport than by naming a cocktail after it…
So, without further ado, please put your hands together for our "Centre Court" Cocktail: a summery blend of Honey Spiced Rum, juicy strawberries, and celebratory champagne!
Nothing says Wimbledon quite like fresh strawberries. But combine them with our award-winning Honey Spiced Rum and a good glug of your favourite champagne (or prosecco) and you’ve got a jaw-dropping drink with a boozy bite that’s sure to ace any summer party.
How to Make Our Centre Court Cocktail
First off, you’ll need the following:
- A handful of fresh British strawberries.
- 25ml Honey Spiced Rum
- 15ml Honey Syrup
- 15ml Lime Juice
- 100ml Champagne or Prosecco
- Ice
Method:
Start by removing the hull from the top of 2-3 strawberries, then muddles these strawberries in the bottom of a highball glass. Next, add ice, Honey Spiced Rum, honey syrup, and lime juice to a shaker and shake well. Add fresh ice to the glass with your muddled strawberries and strain the contents of your shaker into the glass. Top with champagne or prosecco and garnish with a fresh strawberry to finish.
