We've teamed up with Devon's trailblazing microbrewery, Powderkeg, to create a limited edition Rum & Raisin Beer that's perfect for the holidays.
It’s a delectable addition to Powderkeg's Christmas Chocolate Bocks Series, which includes a trio of limited edition brews in 750ml bottles.
A bock (hailing from the legendary brewing tradition of Germany) is part of the lager family, but made
from more heavily toasted malts for a darker hue.
With the addition of organic cocoa nibs, it gains a velvety chocolate background, that makes a smooth, rich and delicious beer, with a light body and medium sweetness.
The true magic happens when we introduce some boozy fruit into the mix...
Plump raisins are steeped in our award-winning Black Spiced Rum, before being infused with the beer for a week, releasing their delicious flavours.
The result is a bronzed beer with a fruity malt base, a chocolate background, and rich treacly flavours from the rum-soaked raisins.
